This has been a Phil Collins week here. We were way behind on the DVR on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and finally watched the episode with him on it. Ever since then, I've heard either his singles or Genesis songs a bunch in the last few days. We listened to the playlist on Sunday while decorating for Christmas and heard 3 or 4 songs just in the couple of hours we did that. There was also a change in the top 5 (all-time) and it was a surprise. The Real Thing by Bo Bice, which was posted on October 10th, all of the sudden jumped up to the 4th spot knocking Automatic by the Pointer Sisters off the list.

I love this song, as do a lot of people. Not so much the lyrics but this is a great song to belt out in the car. I know of Oasis and probably have a couple of their songs but I couldn't tell you what else.

Is it sad that I didn't know this was a cover (neither did my wife) until I googled the video to post? I did go listen to the original by Slade but I still like this one, probably because it's what I know. If I had known it was a cover, I still would have liked it because what I like in a cover is that it's close to the original. Bad Girlfriend by Theory Of A Deadman shot up to the top 5 (30 days) all the way to the 3rd spot today after sitting idle for a day but with an even bigger jump, Petra's More Power To Ya jumped all the way to the 2nd spot on the list. Falling off the list was Refugee by Tom Petty who was on the list for 26 days, 2 of those were in the top spot.
