Night Train by Jason Aldean

I thought maybe this was a newer song of his because I don't know it very well but upon investigating, it's from awhile ago. Either way, it was good enough to be here.

I've been thinkin' 'bout you all day baby
Waitin' on that sun to go down
Whatcha say I pick you up after work
Slide over we slip out to the outskirts of town
I got a blanket and a fifth of comfort
A little something to knock off the edge
It's supposed to get a little cool tonight
Looks like I'm gonna have to hold you tight
Yeah...

[Chorus:]
About a mile off old mill road
That spot nobody knows
We park the truck and we take off runnin'
Hurry up, girl I hear it coming
Got a moon and a billion stars
Sound of steel and old boxcars
The thought of you is driving me insane
Come on baby, let's go listen to the night train

Yeah, I hope it's gonna be a long one
And if we're lucky it's movin' slow
Wouldn't mind if it lasted all night
Lyin' next to you on that hillside
Let's go...

[Chorus:]
About a mile off old mill road
That spot nobody knows
We park the truck and we take off runnin'
Hurry up, girl I hear it coming
Got a moon and a billion stars
Sound of steel and old boxcars
The thought of you is driving me insane
Come on baby, let's go listen to the night train
Let's go listen to the night train

[Chorus:]
About a mile off old mill road
That spot nobody knows
We park the truck and we take off runnin'
Hurry up, girl I hear it coming
Got a moon and a billion stars
Sound of steel and old boxcars
The thought of you is driving me insane
Come on baby, let's go listen to the night train
Let's go listen to the night train

Jekyll and Hyde and Five Finger Death Punch

I think this one was added to my playlist recently because while I know some Five Finger Death Punch, this one didn't sound familiar. Don't get me wrong, I had to have listened to it at some point and added it but I don't remember when.

There's just so much God damned weight on my shoulders
All I'm trying to do is live my motherfucking life
Supposed to be happy, but I'm only getting colder
Wear a smile on my face, but there's a demon inside
There's just so much God damned weight on my shoulders
All I'm trying to do is live my motherfucking life
Supposed to be happy, but I'm only getting colder
Wear a smile on my face, but there's a demon inside

Oh, yo, yo, there's a demon inside
Oh, yo, yo, just like Jekyll and Hyde
Oh, yo, yo, all this anger inside
Oh, yo, yo, I feel like Jekyll and Hyde

Is there so much God damned weight on your shoulders
That you can't just live your motherfucking life
The story's getting old and my heart is getting colder
I just wanna be Jekyll, but I'm always fighting Hyde
You've got rocks in your head, I can hear them rolling 'round
You can say that you're above it, but you're always falling down
Is there a method to your madness? Is it all about pride?
Everyone I know, they've got a demon inside

Oh, yo, yo, there's a demon inside
Oh, yo, yo, just like Jekyll and Hyde
Oh, yo, yo, all this anger inside
Oh, yo, yo, I feel like Jekyll and Hyde

If I wasn't so deranged, could I ever face the pain?
If I ever were to change, would the song remain the same?
Oh, yo, yo
All I'm trying to do is live my motherfucking life
Oh, yo, yo
Wear a smile on my face, but there's a demon inside
Oh, yo, yo
All I'm trying to do is live my motherfucking life
Oh, yo, yo
Wear a smile on my face, but there's a demon inside

Oh, yo, yo, there's a demon inside
Oh, yo, yo, just like Jekyll and Hyde
Oh, yo, yo, all this anger inside
Oh, yo, yo, I feel like Jekyll and Hyde

Stand Back by Stevie Nicks

Can't say I've ever seen that album cover. This is the first Stevie Nicks song, or at least of her solo career. There's already a few of Fleetwood Mac songs on here.

No one looked
I walked by
Just an invitation would have been just fine
Said no to him again and again
First he took my heart then he ran

No one knows how I feel
What I say unless you read between my lines
One man walked away from me
First he took my hand
Take me home

(Stand back, stand back)
In the middle of my room
I did not hear from you
It's alright, it's alright
To be standing in a line
(Standing in a line)
To be standing in a line
I would cry

La, la, la-la, la, la, laaa, la-la
La, laaaa
La, la, la-la, laaaaa

Do not turn away my friend
Like a willow I can bend
No man calls my name
No man came

So I walked on down away from you
Maybe your attention was more
Than you could do
But one man did not call
He asked me for my love
And that was all

(Stand back, stand back)
In the middle of my room
I did not hear from you
It's alright, it's alright
To be standing in a line
(Standing in a line)
To be standing in a line
I would cry

La, la, la-la, la, la, laaa, la-la
La, laaaa
La, la, la-la, la, la, laaaaa
Too few, too few
Laaaaa
La, la, la-la, la, la, laaa, la-la
La, la, laaaa
La, la, la-la, laaaaaa

So I walked, walked down the line
Away from you
Maybe your attention was more
Than I could do
One man did not fall
Well, he asked me for my love
That was all

(Stand back, stand back)
In the middle of my room
I did not hear from you
It's alright, it's alright
To be standing in a line
(Standing in a line)
To be standing in a line
I could cry
I need a little sympathy
Well, I need a little sympathy
Well, I need to be standing in
(Stand back)
Well, I need to be standing in
(Stand back)
Well, I need to be standing in
(Stand back)
Take me home
Take me home
(Stand back)
Don't you take me home
Well, I need a little sympathy
(Stand back)...

Yankee Rose by David Lee Roth

I have a ton of his songs with Van Halen but this is the first from his solo career.

I've been a little busy the last couple of days and haven't posted so I may post a few today. I've kept track of the last songs for each day, just didn't get around to posting them.

What?
Well, let me roll up on to the sidewalk and take a look, yes
Whoa! She's beautiful!
I'm talking about a Yankee Rose
Ha ha ha ha ha
And she looks wild, wild, wild, wild!

Are you ready for the new sensation?
Well, here's the shot heard 'round the world
All you back room boys salute when her flag unfurls
Well, guess who's back in circulation
Now, I don't know what you may have heard
But what I need right now's the original good time girl

She's a vision from coast to coast (coast to coast)
Sea to shining sea (sea to shining sea)
Hey sister, you're the perfect host (care to toast)

Show me your bright lights
And your city lights, all right
I'm talkin' 'bout the Yankee Rose, yeah
Your bright lights
And your city lights, all right
I'm talkin' 'bout it

When she walks, watch, the sparks will fly
Firecrackin' on the fourth of July
No sad songs tonight, somethin's in the air
Yeah, the feeling getcha, wow

A real state of independence
So pretty when her rockets glare
Still prove it any night that her flag's still there

She's a vision from coast to coast (coast to coast)
Sea to shining sea (sea to shining sea)
Hey sister, you're the perfect host (make a toast)

Show me your bright lights and your
City lights, all right
I'm talkin' 'bout the Yankee Rose, yeah
Bright lights in your
City lights, all right
I'm in love with the Yankee Rose

Ah, she's beautiful, alright
Mmm, nothin' like her in the whole world
Yeah

She's right on time
I'm on the case
Pick up the phone
No time to waste
She got the beat
And here's a little bit comin' your way, wow

Aah, raise 'em up there, let's see who salutes, baby
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Little bit, little bit, little bit higher
Here's the national anthem, here
I wanna get a little bit a' apple pie, man

Bright lights, city lights
Bright lights, city lights
Bright lights, city lights

Sing Your Freedom by Whiteheart

This is the 3rd (out of 4) song off this album so far. Have I mentioned that I really loved this album back then.

Let's come out and say the truth
Living can be a fight
Sometimes you find yourself wandering down
The cold winter streets of your life

When you're a prisoner of the time
And the darkness is closing in
With all of your heart you've got to rely
On the song that is hidden within
The song that cries out to begin

Sing your freedom, freedom, freedom
Sing your freedom, freedom, freedom
Let the song of your faith come alive

Like a cool wind that flows
From a valley unseen
Out of the depths of a trembling heart
You find yourself starting to sing

Listen to your own words
It's the power of what you believe
Let the chorus build louder and louder
And shatter the blackness and pain
Let it rise like a healing flame

Sing your freedom, freedom, freedom
Sing your freedom, freedom, freedom
Sing your freedom, freedom, freedom
Sing your freedom, freedom, freedom
Let the song of your faith come alive

Can't lock up the truth
Or chain our beliefs
Can't drown out the song
Of those who are free

Freedom, freedom, freedom
Sing your freedom, freedom, freedom, come on
Sing your freedom, freedom, freedom
Sing your freedom, freedom, freedom
Let the song of your faith come alive

Just A Dream by Carrie Underwood

My 3rd song of hers on here from her 3rd different album which says a lot considering I've only been into Country music for the last few years. I do like her voice and have a bunch of hers on here.

It was two weeks after the day she turned eighteen
All dressed in white
Going to the church that night
She had his box of letters in the passenger seat
Sixpence in a shoe, something borrowed, something blue
And when the church doors opened up wide
She put her veil down
Trying to hide the tears
Oh she just couldn't believe it
She heard the trumpets from the military band
And the flowers fell out of her hand

Baby why'd you leave me
Why'd you have to go?
I was counting on forever, now I'll never know
I can't even breathe
It's like I'm looking from a distance
Standing in the background
Everybody's saying, "He's not coming home now."
This can't be happening to me
This is just a dream

The preacher man said, "Let us bow our heads and pray
Lord please lift his soul, and heal this hurt."
Then the congregation all stood up and sang the saddest song that she ever heard
Then they handed her a folded up flag
And she held on to all she had left of him
Oh, and what could have been
And then the guns rang one last shot
And it felt like a bullet in her heart

Baby, why'd you leave me
Why'd you have to go?
I was counting on forever, now I'll never know
I can't even breathe
It's like I'm looking from a distance
Standing in the background
Everybody's saying, "He's not coming home now."
This can't be happening to me
This is just a dream

Oh,
Baby, why'd you leave me
Why'd you have to go?
I was counting on forever, now I'll never know
Oh, I'll never know
It's like I'm looking from a distance
Standing in the background
Everybody's saying, "He's not coming home now."
This can't be happening to me
This is just a dream

Oh, this is just a dream
Just a dream
Yeah, yeah

I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz

I don't know a lot of Jason Mraz but he does a duet with someone else that I enjoy so that's where I heard of him and now I check out his songs when they pop up. This being one of them but I've listened to it a bunch now and it's pretty good.

When I look into your eyes
It's like watching the night sky
Or a beautiful sunrise
Well, there's so much they hold
And just like them old stars
I see that you've come so far
To be right where you are
How old is your soul?

Well, I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up

And when you're needing your space
To do some navigating
I'll be here patiently waiting
To see what you find

'Cause even the stars they burn
Some even fall to the earth
We've got a lot to learn
God knows we're worth it
No, I won't give up

I don't wanna be someone who walks away so easily
I'm here to stay and make the difference that I can make
Our differences they do a lot to teach us how to use
The tools and gifts we got, yeah, we got a lot at stake
And in the end, you're still my friend at least we did intend
For us to work we didn't break, we didn't burn
We had to learn how to bend without the world caving in
I had to learn what I've got, and what I'm not, and who I am

I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up, I'm still looking up.

Well, I won't give up on us (no I'm not giving up)
God knows I'm tough enough (I am tough, I am loved)
We've got a lot to learn (we're alive, we are loved)
God knows we're worth it (and we're worth it)

I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up

Sight Unseen by Petra

This was the last Petra album I bought before I quit listening to Christian music so I don't know it as well as I do all their other albums.

For so long I was depending upon
My senses and fences, I tried to ride on
And trusting in things that can never be seen
Was always a crutch on which others must lean
Thinking if I could see I would believe
Then somebody said believe and you will see

Sight unseen, sight unseen
You have to take it sight unseen
Blinded by the darkness only faith can come between
Sight unseen, sight unseen

Evidence built into every design
Led to conviction between every line
Faith is the key that can open the veil
To Love incarnated and pierced with a nail
Listen my friend, have I got news for you
The nails in His hands and feet were meant for you

I Wanna Sex You Up by Color Me Badd

I really liked Color Me Badd back in the day. This album and their next one. To be honest, I'm not even sure if they had others.

Come inside, take off your coat, I'll make you feel at home.
Now let's pour a glass of wine 'cause now we're all alone.
I've been waiting all night so just let me hold you close to me,
'Cause I've been dyin' for you girl and make love to me.

Girl you make me feel real good.
We can do it 'til we both wake up.
Girl, you know I'm hooked on you,
And this is what I'll do...

I wanna sex you up.
All night.
You make me feel real good.
I wanna rub you down.
I wanna sex you up.

Let me take off all your clothes.
Disconnect the phone so nobody knows.
Let me light a candle,
So that we can make it better.
Makin' love until we drown.

Girl, you know it feels real good.
We can do it 'til we both wake up.
Girl you know I'm hooked on you.
And this is what I'll do.

Make sweet lovin' all night long...
(I wanna sex you up)
Feels so right it can't be wrong...
Don't be shy girl rescue me...
(I wanna sex you up)
Open up your heart and I'll set you free...

Do I Have To Say The Words by Bryan Adams

A staple of the 80's and early 90's so you'll see plenty of Bryan Adams here.

Rescue me from the mire
Whisper words of desire
Rescue me, darling, rescue me

With your arms open wide
Want you here by my side
Come to me, darling, rescue me

When this world's closing in
There's no need to pretend
Set me free, darling, rescue me

I don't wanna let you go
So I'm standing in your way
I never needed anyone like I'm needin' you today

Do I have to say the words?
Do I have to tell the truth?
Do I have to shout it out?
Do I have to say a prayer?
Must I prove to you how good we are together?
Do I have to say the words?

Rescue me from despair
Tell me you will be there
Help me, please, darling, rescue me

Every dream that we share
Every cross that we bear
Can't you see? Darling, rescue me

Yeah!

Do I have to say the words?
Do I have to tell the truth?
Do I have to shout it out?
Do I have to say a prayer?
Must I prove to you how good we are together?
Do I have to say the words?

So good together.
Come to me, sweet, sweet darling.
Rescue me.
Set me free, set me free, yeah
Whoa.
