Haven theme song

What are the chances I get 2 TV/Movie Theme songs in a row when it took 213 posts to get the first one? I really liked this theme as well. The show was pretty good as well. It was based off a Stephen King book so I had to watch it.

the Walking Dead theme song

Another genre I haven't listed. I told you I had a few more that I haven't gotten to list yet. I have TV and Movie themes on here as well. I watch a lot of both and of course, certain ones I love hearing, either the music itself or just as a reminder of the show. This one, I love the show so it had to be on here. The video is from season 3, the song doesn't change from the seasons but the pictures do.

I Found Someone by Cher

You can't have as an immense playlist as this without having some Cher on it. This certainly won't be the only song.

Don't you know
So many things they come and go?
Like your words that once rang true
Just like the love I thought I found in you

And I remember the thunder
Talkin' 'bout the fire in your eyes
But you walked away when I needed you most
Now, maybe baby, maybe baby

I found someone
To take away the heartache
To take away the loneliness
I've been feelin' since you've been gone
Since you've been gone

Dry your eyes
I never could bear to see you cry
Someday your love will shine through
And show you the feelings if you never really knew

Baby don't you lose that thunder
Talkin' 'bout the fire in your eyes
You're lookin' at me but you still don't believe
That maybe baby, maybe baby

I found someone
To take away the heartache
To take away the loneliness
I've been feelin' since you've been gone
Since you've been gone

Too long on the borderline
Wonderin' if your love was really mine
But you left me with open eyes
And when I realized

Baby I found someone
To take away the heartache
To take away the loneliness
I've been feelin' since you've been gone

Baby I found someone
To take away the heartache
To take away the loneliness
I've been feelin' since you've been gone
Since you've been gone

Once in a Heartbreak by Crumbacher

I'm sure most of you haven't heard of this group, I'm guessing even some of the people here for the Christian music haven't. I don't remember how I started listening to them, I want to say an ex-girlfriend introduced me. I had this album and I think one more of their but I can't find that one on Spotify. So you'll get more songs by them in future posts.

This album is listed on my Albums Owned page.

Road is wide open, I have no doubt
you can make it with you by my side,
Enough’s enough – time spent, instead,
catching up or running ahead.

Life on a shoestring and love on a prayer,
But once in a heartbreak, you know I’ll be there,
Searching for pieces that fell everywhere,
Once in a heartbreak, you know I’ll be there.
(Once in a heartbreak)
Every once in a heartbreak,
(Once in a heartbreak)
Every once in a heartbreak.

Lord of my desires,
you’d never play me
the puppet while pulling the wires,
What a price: freedom to choose,
Throw the dice, but sometimes I lose.

Life on a shoestring and love on a prayer,
But once in a heartbreak, you know I’ll be there,
Searching for pieces that fell everywhere,
Once in a heartbreak, you know I’ll be there.
(Once in a heartbreak)
Every once in a heartbreak,
(Once in a heartbreak)
Every once in a heartbreak.

When all is said and done: if I should fall,
Jesus, you’re still the one on whom I call.

Life on a shoestring and love on a prayer,
But once in a heartbreak, I know you’ll be there,
Holding the pieces that fell everywhere,
Once in a heartbreak, I know you’ll be there,
Life on a shoestring and love on a prayer,
But once in a heartbreak, I know you’ll be there,
Holding the pieces that fell everywhere,
Once in a heartbreak, I know you’ll be there.
(Once in a heartbreak)
Every once in a heartbreak,
(Once in a heartbreak)
Every once in a heartbreak,
(Once in a heartbreak)
Every once in a heartbreak,
(Once in a heartbreak)
Every once in a heartbreak,

You'll Think Of Me by Keith Urban

Wow! I hadn't seen that album cover before today. Lol. I didn't listen to Country until about 5 or 6 years ago so I've probably heard this song from my wife and/or the radio because she tends to play Country when we are in her car. It must have been pretty popular because I still hear it all the time.

I woke up early this morning around 4am
With the moon shining bright as headlights on the interstate
I pulled the covers over my head and tried to catch some sleep
But thoughts of us kept keeping me awake
Ever since you found yourself in someone else's arms
I've been tryin' my best to get along
But that's OK
There's nothing left to say, but

Take your records, take your freedom
Take your memories, I don't need'em
Take your space and take your reasons
But you'll think of me
And take your cap and leave my sweater
'Cause we have nothing left to weather
In fact I'll feel a whole lot better
But you'll think of me, you'll think of me

I went out driving trying to clear my head
I tried to sweep out all the ruins that my emotions left
I guess I'm feeling just a little tired of this
And all the baggage that seems to still exist
It seems the only blessing I have left to my name
Is not knowing what we could have been
What we should have been
So

Take your records, take your freedom
Take your memories, I don't need'em
Take your space and take your reasons
But you'll think of me
And take your cap and leave my sweater
'Cause we have nothing left to weather
In fact I'll feel a whole lot better
But you'll think of me

Someday I'm gonna run across your mind
Don't worry, I'll be fine
I'm gonna be alright
While you're sleeping with your pride
Wishing I could hold you tight
I'll be over you
And on with my life

So take your records, take your freedom
Take your memories, I don't need'em
And take your cap and leave my sweater
'Cause we have nothing left to weather
In fact I'll feel a whole lot better
But you'll think of me

So take your records, take your freedom
Take your memories, I don't need'em
Take your space and all your reasons
But you'll think of me
And take your cap and leave my sweater
'Cause we got nothing left to weather
In fact I'll feel a whole lot better
But you'll think of me, you'll think of me, yeah

And you're gonna think of me
Oh someday baby, someday

This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race by Fall Out Boy

I actually don't know this song very well, I've only heard it a few times but it was enough to put it on the playlist. This is the 2nd song by them off this album on this blog.

I am an arms dealer
Fitting you with weapons in the form of words
And don't really care which side wins
As long as the room keeps singing
That's just the business I'm in, yeah

This ain't a scene, it's a goddamned arms race
This ain't a scene, it's a goddamned arms race
This ain't a scene, it's a goddamned arms race
I'm not a shoulder to cry on
But I digress

I'm a leading man
And the lies I weave are oh so intricate,
Oh so intricate

I'm a leading man
And the lies I weave are oh so intricate,
Oh so intricate

I wrote the gospel on giving up
(You look pretty sinking)
But the real bombshells have already sunk
(Prima donnas of the gutter)
At night we're painting your trash gold while you sleep
Crashing not like hips or cars*,
No, more like p-p-p-parties

This ain't a scene, it's a goddamned arms race
This ain't a scene, it's a goddamned arms race
This ain't a scene, it's a goddamned arms race
This bandwagon's full
Please, catch another

I'm a leading man
And the lies I weave are oh so intricate,
Oh so intricate

I'm a leading man
And the lies I weave are oh so intricate,
Oh so intricate

Yeah...
Whoa-oh

All the boys who the dance floor didn't love
And all the girls whose lips couldn't move fast enough
Sing, until your lungs give out

This ain't a scene, it's a goddamned arms race
This ain't a scene, it's a goddamned arms race
(Now you)
This ain't a scene, it's a goddamned arms race
(Wear out the groove)
This ain't a scene, it's a goddamned arms race
(Sing out loud)
This ain't a scene, it's a goddamned arms race
(Oh, oh)
This ain't a scene, it's a goddamned arms race

I'm a leading man
And the lies I weave are oh so intricate,
Oh so intricate

I'm a leading man
And the lies I weave are oh so intricate,
Oh so intricate

Man With A Mission by Allies

I loved this album back in the day, a great one to rock to, including this song. This won't be the last song of theirs you hear on this blog.

This album is listed on my Albums Owned page.

Like Marlon Brando with a Jimmy Cagney style,
John Wayne kind of swagger with a Henry Fonda smile,
He hang out on the corner, he hang out on the street,
All the homies come around him when the brother start to preach.

He take a bible wherever he go,
He tell the truth like it's someone he know,
He put his heart into every word,
He got a vision, or haven't you heard?

He's a man with a mission, he's out on the street,
Man with a mission, he's walking the beat,
Man with a mission, the deacon of souls,
Man with a mission,
Man with a mission of love, oh.

He got to preach what he feel down in his soul,
"Got to follow Jesus or you never will be whole,"
Now if you're dancing with the devil, boy, you're gonna pay a price,
You better listen to the preacher, take some free advice.

He got an answer for every man,
He's gonna reach you however he can,
He's gonna preach until he's blue in the face,
He gonna hip you up whatever it takes.

He's a man with a mission, he's out on the street,
Man with a mission, he's walking the beat,
Man with a mission, the deacon of souls,
Man with a mission,
Man with a mission.

If he meets you on the corner, he will greet you with a smile,
He'll be preaching in the neighborhood to pray you through in style,
When he leads you up Calvary, you will find your heart's desire,
He will slay you in the Spirit with the Holy Ghost and tongues of fire. (yes, he will)

He's a man with a mission, he's out on the street,
Man with a mission, he's walking the beat,
Man with a mission, the deacon of souls,
Man with a mission,
Man with a mission of love,
Man with a mission, he's out on the street,
He's a man with a mission, he's walking the beat,
Just a man with a mission,
Man with a mission,
Hey man.

You Keep Me Hanging On by Kim Wilde

I don't have many of her songs on my lists, but the couple that I know, I remember them being pretty big in the 80's.

Set me free why don't cha babe
Get out of my life why don't cha babe
'cause you don't really love me
You just keep me hangin'on

Set me free why don't cha babe
Get out of my life why don't cha babe
You don't really need me
But you keep me hangin'on

Why do you keep a comin' around
Playing with my heart
Why don't cha get out of my life
And let me make a brand new start
Let me get over you
The way you've gotten over me yeah

You say although we broke up
You still just wanna be friends
But how can we still be friends
When seeing you only breaks my heart again

Get out, get out of my life
And let me sleep at night
'Cos you don't really love me
You just keep me hangin'on

You say you still care for me
But your heart and soul needs to be free
And now that you've got your freedom
You wanna still hold on to me
You don't want me for yourself
So let me find somebody else

Why don't cha be a man about it and set me free
Now you don't care a thing about me
You're just using me - Hey, abusing me
Get out, get out of my life
And let me sleep at night
'Cos you don't really love me
You just keep me hangin'on
You don't really need me
You just keep me - hangin'on

Apologize by Timbaland, OneRepublic

I don't have any songs by Timbaland on this blog but there are others of OneRepublic who is also in this song. My wife introduced me to this song when we were dating. Not necessarily introduced me to as I heard it because of the radio station she listened to.

I'm holding on your rope, got me ten feet off the ground
And I'm hearing what you say, but I just can't make a sound
You tell me that you need me then you go and cut me down, but wait
You tell me that you're sorry, didn't think I'd turn around, and say (that)

"It's too late to apologize (it's too late)."
I said, "It's too late to apologize (it's too late)."

I'd take another chance, take a fall, take a shot for you
And I need you like a heart needs a beat, but it's nothin' new (yeah)
I loved you with a fire red, now it's turning blue, and you say,
"Sorry," like the angel heaven let me think was you, but I'm afraid...

"It's too late to apologize (it's too late)."
I said, "It's too late to apologize (it's too late)."

"It's too late to apologize (it's too late)."
I said, "It's too late to apologize (it's too late)."

I said, "It's too late to apologize," yeah (too late)
I said, "It's too late to apologize," yeah (too late)

I'm holdin' on your rope, got me ten feet off the ground

Down and Out by Tantric

I really loved this song when it first came out, I listened to it all the time. I still jam out to it when it comes on, like I did today since it was nice enough to have the windows down. I think the violins(?) in the background are what really attracted to me.

I'm comin' up for air so I can
Check myself again and I stand
Proven to the man but sheltered
Confidence we tend to (shove in)
Unexpected hunger traps me
Just shut up and stand beside me
I don't need your understanding
I don't need to change a damn thing

And though I'm used to have you here
It does not change the man I was
When you found me and there was no one else around me
Just turn the page and watch me grow
There's so many things that you don't know about my soul
Live and die but this will not get old

Just when you think that you're down and out
Don't preconceive what I'm all about
Look for a reason that you have to start
Acting like a friend that you were not
And when you think that we played it out
We come from the bottom and knock it out
Look for a reason that you have to start
Acting like a friend but you were not, yeah

Nothing in between to fall through
I'm being myself, who are you?
You stand above and look down
You're just a plagiaristic clown
You suck the life out of me
You keep track of the payee
And when this wealth becomes dry
You'll shed a tear for another lie

And though I'm used to have you here
It does not change the man I was
When you found me and there was no one else around me
Just turn the page and watch me grow
There's so many things that you don't know about my soul
Live and die but this will not get old

Just when you think that you're down and out
Don't preconceive what I'm all about
Look for a reason that you have to start
Acting like a friend that you were not
And when you think that we played it out
We come from the bottom and knock it out
Look for a reason that you have to start
Acting like a friend but you were not, yeah

And though I'm used to have you here
It does not change the man I was
When you found me and there was no one else around me
Yeah, yeah, yeah, oh

Just when you think that you're down and out
Don't preconceive what I'm all about
Look for a reason that you have to start
Acting like a friend that you were not
And when you think that we played it out
We come from the bottom and knock it out

Realize by Colbie Caillat

This is another artist, like Ingrid Michaelson, where I had never heard of her or her music until my wife gave me a CD she made me while we were dating. It had a song on it by her and I went and listened to their other stuff and ended up adding a bunch of songs.

Take time to realize,
That your warmth is crashing down on in.
Take time to realize,
That I am on your side.
Didn't I, didn't I tell you?

But I can't spell it out for you.
No, it's never gonna be that simple.
No, I can't spell it out for you.

[Chorus:]
If you just realize what I just realized,
Then we'd be perfect for each other,
And we'll never find another.
Just realize what I just realized.
We'd never have to wonder if
We missed out on each other now.

Take time to realize.
Oh-oh, I'm on your side.
Didn't I, didn't I tell you?
Take time to realize
This all can pass you by.
Didn't I tell you?

But I can't spell it out for you.
No, it's never gonna be that simple.
No, I can't spell it out for you.

[Chorus:]
If you just realize what I just realized
Then we'd be perfect for each other,
And we'll never find another.
Just realize what I just realized.
We'd never have to wonder if
We missed out on each other but...

It's not the same,
No, it's never the same
If you don't feel it too.
If you meet me halfway,
If you would meet me halfway,
It could be the same for you.

[Chorus:]
If you just realize what I just realized
Then we'd be perfect for each other,
And we'll never find another.
Just realize what I just realized.
We'd never have to wonder.
Just realize what I just realized.
If you just realize what I just realized.

Oh.

Missed out on each other now.
Missed out on each other now, yeah.

Realize.
Realize.
Realize.
Realize.

You Spin Me Round by Dead or Alive

This is pretty much a staple song of the 80's. Although I could have never told you who sang it so I'm guessing this is the only song by them here.

If I, I get to know your name
Well if I, could trace your private number, baby

All I know is that to me
You look like you're lots of fun
Open up your lovin' arms
I want some, want some

I set my sights on you (and no one else will do)
And I, I've got to have my way now, baby

All I know is that to me
You look like you're having fun
Open up your lovin' arms
Watch out here I come

You spin me right round, baby
Right round like a record, baby
Right round round round
You spin me right round, baby
Right round like a record, baby
Right round round round

I got to be your friend now, baby
And I would like to move in just a little bit closer

All I know is that to me
You look like you're lots of fun
Open up your lovin' arms
Watch out, here I come

You spin me right round, baby
Right round like a record, baby
Right round round round
You spin me right round, baby
Right round like a record, baby
Right round round round

I want your love
I want your love

All I know is that to me
You look like you're lots of fun
Open up your lovin' arms
Watch out, here I come

You spin me right round, baby
Right round like a record, baby
Right round round round
You spin me right round, baby
Right round like a record, baby
Right round round round

You spin me right round, baby
Right round like a record, baby
Right round round round
You spin me right round, baby
Right round like a record, baby
Right round round round

You spin me right round, baby
Right round like a record, baby
Right round round round
You spin me right round, baby
Right round like a record, baby
Right round round round

By Myself by Linkin Park

This was a great album, I used to play it all the time. There are a bunch of songs from it on this blog so don't think this is the only one.

This album is listed on my Albums Owned page.

What do I do to ignore them behind me?
Do I follow my instincts blindly?
Do I hide my pride from these bad dreams?
And give in to sad thoughts that are maddening?
Do I sit here and try to stand it?
Or do I try to catch them red-handed?
Do I trust some and get fooled by phoniness,
Or do I trust nobody and live in loneliness?
Because I can't hold on when I'm stretched so thin
I make the right moves but I'm lost within
I put on my daily facade but then
I just end up getting hurt again
By myself [myself]

[x2]
I ask why, but in my mind
I find I can’t rely on myself

[Chorus:]
I can’t hold on
To what I want when I’m stretched so thin
It’s all too much to take in
I can’t hold on
To anything watching everything spin
With thoughts of failure sinking in

If I
Turn my back I’m defenseless
And to go blindly seems senseless
If I hide my pride and let it all go on then they’ll
Take from me ‘till everything is gone
If I let them go I’ll be outdone
But if I try to catch them I’ll be outrun
If I’m killed by the questions like a cancer
Then I’ll be buried in the silence of the answer
by myself [myself]

[x2]
I ask why, but in my mind
I find I can’t rely on myself

[Chorus]

How do you think I’ve lost so much
I'm so afraid that I'm out of touch
How do you expect... I will know what to do
When all I know Is what you tell me to

[x2]
Don’t you know
I can’t tell you how to make it go
No matter what I do, how hard I try
I can’t seem to convince myself why
I’m stuck on the outside

[Chorus x2]

Pull all your hair up
Dab on the make up
Tryin hard to look so pristine
Like a face in a magazine
Those fancy dressers
And media pressure
Got you feeling so plain and small
If you don't look like a paper doll

In a world where the goal is
To be like the Joneses
It's guaranteed to drive you wild
Keeping up with the latest style
Gaze in the miror
You want the glamour
And the grace of a movie star
But I like you the way you are
You are the only one I'm dreamin of
'Cause baby don't you know that I Love

[Chorus:]
You, Girl
You don't have to be picture perfect
To be in my world
Girl
You don't have to be picture perfect
To fit the frame

You're tender you're tactful
Girl you're a natural
You possess a heart that's true
That's what I like about you
One in a million
Yeah that's a given
There's a beauty inside of you
And it shows on the outside too
No competition you're way in the lead
And baby don't you know that I need

[Chorus]

Hollywood Whore by Papa Roach

Great song to rock out to. You'll definitely see more Papa Roach songs on this blog, this is the 2nd one so far. I've liked their stuff for awhile. I was hoping for a good song for our 200th song and I got one.

Hollywood whore,
Passed out on the floor,
I'm sorry but the party's over.

Cocaine nose,
And trendy clothes,
Gotta send her to rehab.
She found out she's got no soul,
But it really doesn't bother her.
White trash queen,
American dream-
Oh, what a role model.
Throwing a fit,
Making a scene,
Like no tomorrow.

Hollywood whore,
Passed out on the floor,
Can't take it no more,
I'm sorry but the party's over.
The talk of the town,
Is she's going down.
I'm sorry but the party's over NOW.

Awake by noon, drunk by 4.
Sucked up in the show biz.
You're so lame,
You're such a bore,
I wanna kick your teeth in.
Plastic smile,
To match your style-
We can tell you got a face lift.
You're so vain, oh so vile,
You're a number one hit.

Hollywood whore,
Passed out on the floor,
Can't take it no more,
I'm sorry but the party's over.
The talk of the town,
Is she's going down,
I'm sorry but the party's over.

The cameras are gone,
And nobody screams.
She couldn't survive her 15 minutes of fame.
Her friends are all gone,
She's going insane.
She'll never survive without the money and fame.
It's all going down the drain.

Hollywood whore,
Passed out on the floor,
I'm sorry but the party's over.
The talk of the town,
Is she's going down.
I'm sorry but the party's over

Hollywood whore,
Passed out on the floor,
I'm sorry but the party's over.
The talk of the town,
Is she's going down,
I'm sorry but the party's over.

Wake up!!!!!
The party's over
[4x]
NOW

Hahaha

Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya, hunny.
Hahaha...
