Photograph by Nickelback

Previous song - Paradise City by Guns 'N' Roses
Next song - Never Gonna Stop by Rob Zombie

You all can make fun of Nickelback but I like a lot of their music so this won't be the only song you see here. This song is probably one of my favorites by them so there's that at least.

Look at this photograph
Every time I do it makes me laugh
How did our eyes get so red?
And what the hell is on Joey's head?

And this is where I grew up
I think the present owner fixed it up
I never knew we'd ever went without
The second floor is hard for sneaking out

And this is where I went to school
Most of the time had better things to do
Criminal record says I broke in twice
I must have done it half a dozen times

I wonder if it's too late
Should I go back and try to graduate?
Life's better now than it was back then
If I was them I wouldn't let me in

Oh, oh, oh
Oh, god, I

Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.

Remember the old arcade
Blew every dollar that we ever made
The cops hated us hangin' out
They say somebody went and burned it down

We used to listen to the radio
And sing along with every song we know
We said someday we'd find out how it feels
To sing to more than just the steering wheel

Kim's the first girl I kissed
I was so nervous that I nearly missed
She's had a couple of kids since then
I haven't seen her since god knows when

Oh, oh, oh

I miss that town
I miss the faces
You can't erase
You can't replace it
I miss it now
I can't believe it
So hard to stay
Too hard to leave it

If I could I relive those days
I know the one thing that would never change

Every memory of looking out the back door
I had the photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for
It's hard to say it, time to say it
Goodbye, goodbye.

Look at this photograph
Every time I do it makes me laugh
Every time I do it makes me...

Jam by Michael Jackson w/Heavy D

Previous song - Renegade by Styx
Next song - Burn it to the Ground by Nickelback

Love this song by the King of Pop. I had it cranked up in the car on my way home. I was actually listening to my Summer Jams playlist instead of the usual but all these songs are on the other one as well and no matter what playlist I listen to, it's still the Last Song of the Day. I have a ton of Michael Jackson on the playlist so you'll hear a bunch before this is over. I don't have any Heavy D songs but I listed him anyways.

Ain't No Mountain High Enough by Marvin Gaye, Tammi Terrell

Previous song - American Girl by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Next song - Welcome to Paradise by Green Day

A good old fashion classic. How can you not get up and sing along to this song. I have more Marvin Gaye on this playlist so it won't be the last you see.

Listen baby, ain't no mountain high,
Ain't no valley low, ain't no river wide enough baby
If you need me call me, no matter where you are,
No matter how far; don't worry baby
Just call my name; I'll be there in a hurry
You don't have to worry,

Oh baby there ain't no mountain high enough,
Ain't no valley low enough,
Ain't no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you babe

Remember the day I set you free
I told you you could always count on me darling
From that day on, I made a vow,
I'll be there when you want me,
Some way, some how

Oh baby there ain't no mountain high enough,
Ain't no valley low enough,
Ain't no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you babe

Oh no darling
No wind, no rain
Or winters cold can stop me baby, no no baby
'Cause you are my goal
If you're ever in trouble;
I'll be there on the double
Just send for me, oh baby, ha

My love is alive
Way down in my heart
Although we are miles apart
If you ever need a helping hand,
I'll be there on the double
Just as fast as I can
Don't you know that there

Ain't no mountain high enough,
Ain't no valley low enough,
Ain't no river wide enough
To keep me from getting to you babe

Don'tcha know that there
Ain't no mountain high enough,
Ain't no valley low enough,
Ain't no river wide enough
Ain't mountain high enough
Ain't no valley low enough

  • This is the first song by either Marvin Gaye or Tammi Terrell.
  • This is the first song from 1967 and is currently the oldest on this blog.
  • This is the second song in the Soul genre.
  • I update the Albums I've Owned page with the Crumbacher and Guns N Roses from a few days ago.

No One Is To Blame by Howard Jones

Previous song - Between You and Me by DC Talk
Next song - Beautiful by Pop Evil

I had forgotten how much I like this song until I heard it again. Which also leads me to believe that I hadn't heard it in awhile. I've had it stuck in my head the last few hours since I heard it.

You can look at the menu, but you just can't eat
You can feel the cushion, but you can't have a seat
You can dip your foot in the pool, but you can't have a swim
You can feel the punishment, but you can't commit the sin

And you want her, and she wants you
We want everyone
And you want her and she wants you
No one, no one, no one ever is to blame
You can build a mansion, but you just can't live in it
You're the fastest runner but you're not allowed to win
Some break the rules, and let you cut the cost
The insecurity is the thing that won't get lost

You can see the summit but you can't reach it
It's the last piece of the puzzle but you just can't make it fit
Doctor says you're cured but you still feel the pain
Aspirations in the clouds but your hopes go down the drain

No one ever is to blame, No one ever is to blame

  • This is the 1st song by Howard Jones.
  • This is the 4th song in the 80's genre which ties the Christian genre for the most.
  • This is the 1st song from 1985.
  • I posted a few more pages but I don't have any songs on them yet.

Speechless by Crumbacher

Last song - Jumpin' Jack Flash (the Rolling Stones)
Next song - Thnks fr th mmrs (Fall Out Boy)

Usually, my last song of the day is the last song I heard in the car on the way home from work. Today, I couldn't have used that song if I wanted to because it had actually already been used. Which is pathetic considering I now am one song away from 2600 tracks. Anyways, since the wife wasn't home, I decided to jam out in the shower so I listened to a few more and got the real, Last Song of the Day.

Another Christian song, which is okay because it's been awhile since I've had one. I have a bunch of Crumbacher songs on my playlist, I had a few albums of theirs back in the day.

I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to find this on YouTube since they aren't widely known but sure enough, it was there.

Lyrics

When I hear your name, my face lights up and glows,
And I wonder...I wonder if it shows,
You've taken your time with me, but I don't really mind,
And I'd tell you how I feel, but the words are so hard to find.

I'm speechless,
I'm speechless.

When I hear your voice, my heart leaps down inside,
And you move me...you move me mystified,
I'm giving my all to you, 'cause your love came across,
And I'd tell you how I feel, but for words I am at a loss.

I'm speechless,
Lord, I'm speechless over you,
I'm speechless,
I'm speechless over you.

I'd tell you how I feel, if I only knew what to say. (I don't know what to say now)

I'm speechless,
Lord, I'm speechless over you,
I'm speechless,
I'm speechless over you,
I'm speechless,
Lord, I'm speechless over you,
Oh, over you,
I'm speechless,
Oh, over you,
I'm speechless,
Lord, I'm speechless over you,

I'll have this section from now on just to let you know what all is going all into the blog.

I added another page to the top, it has a list of all the albums I've owned (as they get posted) to go along with the YouTube playlists page. I actually have 2 other pages in the works as soon as a song from one of them gets posted, I'll debut them.

I also added the "What Almost Was" section, these are the song before the above song, and the next song that was going to play. Kind of a teaser of what almost got posted.

This is the first song by Crumbacher on this blog, the 4th song on the Christian genre and the 2nd one from 1987.

Every Little Step by Bobby Brown

I was going to say a little 90's R&B action but apparently this song was in the 80's. I don't consider it 80's music though so it's not going into that genre.

I have multiple songs by Bobby Brown and even had one of his cassettes, not this one, one from the 90's which is probably why I think of him as being 90's.

I'm certainly not a huge fan of his personal life, or at least what I know of it, but I don't let that influence my taste in the music. This is the first song listed in 1988.

Lyrics

Good lovin'
Ow, yeah

I can't sleep at night, I toss and turn
Listenin' for the telephone
But when I get your call I'm all choked up
Can't believe you called my home
And as a matter of fact, it blows my mind
You would even talk to me
Because a girl like you is a dream come true
A real life fantasy

No matter what your friends try to tell ya
We were made to fall in love
And we will be together, any kind of weather
It's like that, it's like that

Every little step I take
You will be there
Every little step I make
We'll be together

Every little step I take
You will be there
Every little step I make
We'll be together

I can't think too straight, I'm all confused
You must've put a thing on me
Because there aren't no words that can explain
I'm livin' in ecstasy
And you can best believe, I got ya back
You never have to feel no pain
'Cause I'd dedicate my life to you
You'll never look for love again

No matter what your friends try to tell ya
We were made to fall in love
And we will be together, any kind of weather
It's like that, it's like that

Every little step I take
You will be there
Every little step I make
We'll be together

Every little step I take
You will be there
Every little step I make
We'll be together

Every little, woo!
Every little step I. (every little step)
Every little, every little step I take

Every little.
Every little step I (every little step)
Every little, we'll be together girl

Good lovin'
Good lovin'

No matter what your friends try to tell ya
We were made to fall in love
And we will be together, any kind of weather
It's like that, it's like that (Girl!)

Every little step I take
You will be there
Every little step I make
We'll be together

Every little step I take
You will be there
Every little step I make
We'll be together

Every little step I take
You will be there
Every little step I make
We'll be together

Every little step I take
You will be there
Every little step I make
We'll be together

Every little step I (every little step)
Every little
Every little step I take
Every little
Every little step I take (every little step)
Every little (we'll be together girl)
Every little step I take (Good lovin')

Close Your Eyes by Parmalee

I didn't forget about this blog, my car was broke down so I was using my wife's and my mom's cars. My wife's car her cigarette lighter doesn't work so I can't hook my phone into the stereo and for some reason in my mom's car, it doesn't come through the stereo very well. So while I have listened to music, it's been the radio, and the radio sucks.

Finally I get to a country song, it's not my favorite by Parmalee but it's still a pretty good one.

I don't know how many songs I have by them on my Playlist but I do know I have at least a couple of them. I probably add more Country music, when I add songs to my playlists, than any other genre because it's what my wife listens to the most so I hear it more when I'm not listening to my playlist.

Lyrics

Well take a look at what's left in that sunset,
Fireflies popping like the Fourth of July, yeah.
You're gonna wanna see every single thing I'm gonna show you tonight.
Got the perfect scene set of a moonlight glowing,
Just keep them baby blues wide open.
Girl take a look around, yeah it's going down.
It's going down just right.

Hey baby fore the night gets any older,
Lean your pretty self over here a little closer.
I need to hold ya,
I wanna show ya what you don't wanna miss, no.
It's all getting to what we've been waiting on.
I'm gonna go and turn you and the night on.
Coming on strong, I'm gonna lay it on your lips.
Might wanna close your eyes for this.

Sun gone down, nights are getting hotter.
We've got this bed backed up to the water.
Yeah it's the place to be if you wanna see every little shining star.
But that view ain't nothing like the you I'm lookin at,
Two tan legs for days dangling off the back.
It all looks better baby you can see forever when you're here in my arms.

Just when you thought you had seen it all,
Well it turns out you don't have to see it all.

Might wanna close your eyes for this.
Hey pretty girl might wanna close your eyes for this.
Close your eyes for this.

With A Little Help From My Friends by Joe Cocker

Another cover song, and even though I'm a pretty big fan of the Beatles, the Joe Cocker version is then one I know the best. This becomes the oldest song on the playlist, so far, by 7 years.

Not a very flattering cover photo of Joe, but it's a great song none the less. Most of my generation will remember it as the lead song to the Wonder Years TV show.

Lyrics

What would you think if sang out of tune,
Would you stand up and walk out on me ?
Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song
And I'll try not to sing out of key.

Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends
Mm, I get high with a little help from my friends
Mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends

What do I do when my love is away
(Does it worry you to be alone ?)
How do I feel by the end of the day,
(Are you sad because you're on your own ?)

No, I get by with a little help from my friends
Mm, I get high with a little help from my friends
Mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends

Do you need anybody
I need somebody to love
Could it be anybody
I want somebody to love.

Would you believe in a love at first sight
Yes I'm certain that it happen all the time
What do you see when you turn out the light
I can't tell you but I know it's mine,

Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends
Mm, I get high with a little help from my friends
Mm, gonna try with a little help from my friends

Do you need anybody, I just need someone to love
Could it be anybody, I want somebody to love.

Oh, I get by with a little help from my friends
with a little help from my friends.

Knockin' on Heavens Door by Guns N Roses

I find it amazing that I've posted 12 different genres out of 18 posts. It doesn't surprise me that I have that many different genres, just that the top 4 genre's on my playlists are probably 80s, Rock, Christian and Country and I haven't even posted a Country song yet.

I think this is the second song that I've posted that is a cover of a Bob Dylan song. I guess I should be more of a Bob Dylan fan.

I am, however, a fan of Guns N' Roses. I have a bunch of songs from them, most of them off of their greatest hits album. The video is a little annoying but it's the best I could find.

Lyrics

Mama take this badge from me
I can't use it anymore
It's getting dark too dark to see
Feels like I'm knockin' on heaven's door

Knock-knock-knockin' on heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on heaven's door, eh yeah

Mama put my guns in the ground
I can't shoot them anymore
That cold black cloud is comin' down
Feels like I'm knockin' on heaven's door

Knock-knock-knockin' on heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on heaven's door

(You just better start sniffin' your own rank subjugation jack)
('Cause it's just you against your tattered libido)
(The bank and the mortician)
(Forever man and it wouldn't be luck if you could get out of life alive)

Knock-knock-knockin' on heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on heaven's door

Knock-knock-knockin' on heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on heaven's door
Knock-knock-knockin' on heaven's door, wow oh yeah

Angel Eyes by the Jeff Healey Band

What do you think of when you hear the Jeff Healey Band? Am I the only one who thinks of the movie Road House?

For those that don't know, Jeff Healey (lead singer and guitarist) is blind. As you can see in the album cover, he plays his guitar with it laying across his lap. I'm pretty sure this is the only song I know by them.

Lyrics

Girl, you're looking fine tonight
And every guy has got you in his sight
What you're doing with a clown like me
Is surely one of life's little mysteries

So tonight I'll ask the stars above
"How did I ever win your love?"
What did I do?
What did I say
To turn your angel eyes my way?

Well, I'm the guy who never learned to dance
Never even got one second glance
Across a crowded room was close enough
I could look but I could never touch

So tonight I'll ask, the stars above
"How did I ever win your love?"
What did I do?
What did I say
To turn your angel eyes my way?

Don't anyone wake me
If it's just a dream
'Cause she's the best thing
Ever happened to me

All you fellows
You can look all you like
But this girl you see
She's leavin' here with me tonight

There's just one more thing that I need to know
If this is love why does it scare me so?
It must be somethin' only you can see
'Cause girl I feel it when you look at me

So tonight I'll ask the stars above
"How did I ever win your love?"
What did I do?
What did I say,
To turn your angel eyes my way?
Hey, hey, hey, yeah, awww

Man of Constant Sorrow by Soggy Bottom Boys

I almost forgot to post today's last song of the day. Yesterday, I only listened to the radio because we were in my wife's car and I can't hook up my Spotify to her radio.

I loved this movie and quite a few songs from this soundtrack on my playlist so this won't be the only one you hear.

Lyrics

(In constant sorrow all through his days)

I am a man of constant sorrow
I've seen trouble all my days
I bid farewell to old Kentucky
The place where I was born and raised

(The place where he was born and raised)

For six long years I've been in trouble
No pleasure here on Earth I found
For in this world I'm bound to ramble
I have no friends to help me now

(He has no friends to help him now)

It's fare-thee-well my old true lover
I never expect to see you again
For I'm bound to ride that northern railroad
Perhaps I'll die upon this train

(Perhaps he'll die upon this train)

You can bury me in some deep valley
For many years where I may lay
And you may learn to love another
Whilst I am sleeping in my grave

(While he is sleeping in his grave)

Maybe your friends think I'm just a stranger
My face you never will see no more
But there is one promise that is given
I'll meet you on God's golden shore

(He'll meet you on God's golden shore)

I Ran by A Flock of Seagulls

Another 80s song for most of you. For some, it's a song on one of the first Grand Theft Auto games. For me, it's both of those, plus Chandler's 80s haircut on Friends.

"A Flock of Seagulls"
I'm pretty positive this is my only song from them because it's the only song that I know from them.

Lyrics

I walk along the avenue
I never thought I'd meet a girl like you
Meet a girl like you

With auburn hair and tawny eyes
The kind of eyes that hypnotize me through
You hypnotize me through

And I ran
I ran so far away
I just ran
I ran all night and day
I couldn't get away

A cloud appears above your head
A beam of light comes shining down on you
Shining down on you

The cloud is moving nearer still
Aurora Borealis comes in view
Aurora comes in view

And I ran
I ran so far away
I just ran
I ran all night and day
I couldn't get away

Reached out a hand to touch your face
You're slowly disappearing from my view
Disappearing from my view

Reached out a hand to try again
I'm floating in a beam of light with you
A beam of light with you

And I ran
I ran so far away
I just ran
I ran all night and day

And I ran
I ran so far away
I just ran
I ran all night and day

Wild Wild West by Will Smith

I'm not a huge fan of Will Smith's music but I do have a few songs on my playlists, including this one. I used to work at a video store and I would play this movie on the TV every so often so it grew on me.

I do like Will Smith, from what I know about him and I like that he's a clean rapper. Not that I have problem with cursing in songs but sometimes it goes way overboard, I'm not a fan of a lot of cussing.

Lyrics

Uh, wickey wild wild
Wicky wicky wild
Wickey wild, wicky wicky wild wild wild west,
Jim West, desperado, rough rider
No you don't want nada
None of this, six gun in this, brotha runnin' this,
Buffalo soldier, look it's like I told ya
Any damsel that's in distress
Be out of that dress when she meet Jim West
Rough neck so go check the law and abide
Watch your step , we'll flex and get a hole in your side
Swallow your pride, don't let your lip react,
You don't wanna see my hand where my hip be at,
With all of this, from the start of this,
Runnin' the game, James West tamin' the west so remember the name
Now who ya gonna call?

Not the G.B.'s

Now who you gon' call?

J double A G

If you have a riff with, people wanna bust, break out!
Before you get bum-rushed at the (Wild Wild West)
When I roll into the (Wild Wild West)
When I stroll into the (Wild Wild West)
When I bounce into the (Wild Wild West) Sisqo, Sisqo

We going straight to the Wild Wild West
We going straight to the Wild Wild West

Now, now, now, now once upon a time in the west
Mad man lost his damn mind in the west
Loveless, kidnap a dime, nothin' less
Now I must put his behind to the test (Can you feel me?)
Then through the shadows, in the saddle, ready for battle
Bring all your boys in, here come the poison
Behind my back, all the riffin' ya did,
Front and center, now where ya lip at kid?
Who dat is? A mean brotha, bad for your health
Lookin' damn good though, if I could say it myself
Told me Loveless is a mad man, but I don't fear that
Got mad weapons too, ain't tryin' to hear that
Tryin' to bring down me, the champion
When y'all clowns gon' see that it can't be done
Understand me son, I'm the slickest they is,
I'm the quickest as they is, did I say I'm the slickest they is
So if you barking up the wrong tree we comin', don't be startin' nothin'
Me and my partner gonna test your chest, Loveless
Can't stand the heat then get out the Wild Wild West

We going straight to (when I roll into the) the Wild Wild West (When I stroll into the)
We going straight to (when I bounce into the) the Wild Wild West
We going straight to the Wild Wild West
We going straight to the Wild Wild West

Yeah, can you feel it, c'mon c'mon, yeah
Keep it movin', keep it movin' ooh yeah

To any outlaw tryin' to draw, thinkin' you're bad,
Any draw on West best with a pen and a pad,
Don't even think about it, six gun, weighin' a ton,
10 paces and turn, just for fun, son,
Up till sundown, rolling around,
See where the bad guys ought to be found and make 'em lay down,
The defenders of the west,
Crushin' on pretenders in the west,
Don't mess with us 'cause we're in the (Wild Wild West)

Going straight to the Wild Wild West
We going straight to the Wild Wild West
We going straight to the Wild Wild West
We going straight to the Wild Wild West
We going straight to the Wild Wild West
We going straight to the Wild Wild West, c'mon

(Wild Wild West) When I roll into the (Wild Wild West)
(When I stroll into the) We going straight to the Wild Wild (The Wild Wild West)
(The Wild, Wild West) Woo, uh
(The Wild, Wild West) Ha ha ha ha
(The Wild, Wild West) Uh Dru, Dru
(The Wild, Wild West) I done done it again y'all done done it again
(The Wild, Wild West) Ha ha ha ha
(The Wild, Wild West) Big Will, Dru Hill, uh
(The Wild, Wild West) Big Will, Dru Hill ha ha ha ha
(The Wild, Wild West) The Wild Wild West
(The Wild, Wild West) Uh
(The Wild, Wild West) One time
(The Wild, Wild West) Uh,
(The Wild, Wild West) The wild wild west bring in the heat, bring in the Heat, what?
(Wild Wild West)
(The Wild, Wild West)
The wild wild wicky wickidy wild wild wild wickidy wild wild
Wickidy wild wild, the wickidy wickidy wickidy wickidy (The Wild, Wild West)
(The Wild, Wild West)
(The Wild, Wild West)
(The Wild, Wild West) Can't stop the bum-rush,
The wild wild (The Wild, Wild West)

Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go by Wham!

It's back to the 80's again. This was a huge hit if I remember correctly.

album cover
Anytime I hear it, I picture the dancing, back and forth, from the video. Of course, I want to do the dance but I'm a little old to move that much anymore. This is also one of those earworm songs, once it's in your head, it'll be awhile before you can get rid of it. You know you all sing the Jitterbug part as low as you can too.

Lyrics

You put the boom-boom into my heart
You send my soul sky high when your lovin' starts
Jitterbug into my brain
Goes a bang-bang-bang 'til my feet do the same
But something's bugging you
Something ain't right
My best friend told me what you did last night
Left me sleepin' in my bed
I was dreaming, but I should have been with you instead.

Wake me up before you go-go
Don't leave me hanging on like a yo-yo
Wake me up before you go-go
I don't want to miss it when you hit that high
Wake me up before you go-go
'Cause I'm not plannin' on going solo
Wake me up before you go-go
Take me dancing tonight
I wanna hit that high (yeah, yeah)

You take the grey skies out of my way
You make the sun shine brighter than Doris Day
Turned a bright spark into a flame
My beats per minute never been the same

'Cause you're my lady, I'm your fool
It makes me crazy when you act so cruel
Come on, baby, let's not fight
We'll go dancing, everything will be all right

Wake me up before you go-go
Don't leave me hanging on like a yo-yo
Wake me up before you go-go
I don't want to miss it when you hit that high
Wake me up before you go-go
'Cause I'm not plannin'' on going solo
Wake me up before you go-go
Take me dancing tonight
I wanna hit that high (yeah, yeah, baby)

(Jitterbug)
(Jitterbug)

Cuddle up, baby, move in tight
We'll go dancing tomorrow night
It's cold out there, but it's warm in bed
They can dance, we'll stay home instead

(Jitterbug)

Wake me up before you go-go
Don't leave me hanging on like a yo-yo
Wake me up before you go-go
I don't want to miss it when you hit that high
Wake me up before you go-go
'Cause I'm not plannin' on going solo
Wake me up before you go-go
Take me dancing tonight
Wake me up before you go-go, don't you dare to leave me hanging on like a
yo-yo
Take me dancing

(Boom-boom-boom)

Another Sad Love Song by Toni Braxton

Here is the true last song of today. I don't like a lot of R & B but most of what I do listen to are from the 90's and it's more because I know the songs well enough. I really hardly listen to any of the new stuff but what little I do hear, I just don't care for.

album cover
I want to say I have 2 songs of hers on my playlist, but I could be wrong. The main thing I think of when one of her songs comes on is that she is a preachers kid. I have no idea why that tidbit of information sticks in my head, but it does. I don't even know where I heard it.

Lyrics

Since you been gone
I been hangin' around here lately
With my mind messed up
Jumped in my car tried to clear my mind
Didn't help me
I guess I'm all messed up now baby
Soon as I jumped into my ride
Those memories start to play
A song comes on the radio
And there U are baby once again

It's just another sad love song
Rackin' my brain like crazy
Guess I'm all torn up
Be it fast or slow
It doesn't let go
Or shake me
And it's all because of you

Since you been gone
I keep thinkin' about you baby
Gets me all choked up
This heart of mine keeps
Dreamin' of you and it's crazy
You'd think I'd had enough
As soon as I get you out my head
I'm in my car again
Just one request from the radio
I'm back in love sugar once again

It's just another sad love song
Rackin' my brain like crazy
Guess I'm all torn up
Be it fast or slow
It doesn't let go
Or shake me
And it's all because of you

Here comes the strings
Then somebody sings
Only takes a beat
And then it starts killin' me darlin'
Only takes one note, I tell ya,
From that radio
It's just
Another
Lonely
Love song

Forever in Love by Kenny G

This is yesterdays songs. I had a busy evening after work yesterday and I never even picked up my laptop so you'll get 2 songs today.

This is only the 12th song on this blog so far and I've already come across the 2nd song from my 1st wedding.

album cover
I'm not a huge fan of Kenny G but I do have a few songs on my playlist. This might be the only one I have without words but I'm not positive. Actually, there might be one more.

Shining Star by Earth, Wind & Fire

I told you I had older. Ok, maybe only a year older on this one but we'll get there, eventually.

album cover

I don't really know about the group itself, they were a little before my time but I know a few of their songs and have them on the playlist so this isn't the only song you'll get by them.

Lyrics

When you wish upon a star
Your dreams will take you very far
But when you wish upon a dream
Life ain't always what it seems
What'd you see on a night so clear
In the sky so very dear

You're a shining star
No matter who you are
Shining bright to see
What you could truly be (what you could truly be)

Shining star come in to view
Shine its watchful light on you
Give you strength to carry on
Make your body big and strong
Born a man child of the sun
Saw my work had just begun

Found I had to stand alone
Bless it now I've got my own
So, if you find yourself in need
Why don't you listen to these words of heed
Be a giant grain of sand
Words of wisdom, yes I can

You're a shining star
No matter who you are
Shining bright to see
What you could truly be

You're a shining star
No matter who you are
Shining bright to see
What you could truly be

You're a shining star
No matter who you are
Shining bright to see
What you could truly be

Shinning star for you to see
What your life can truly be
Shinning star for you to see
What your life can truly be
Shinning star for you to see
What your life can truly be
