Anniversary by Tony Toni Tone

I knew when this song came on that it was going to be my last song. It's longer than my ride home from work at close to 10 minutes. I believe my brother had this album. Pretty much most of the 90's Hip Hop and Rap came from my brother as that is what he mainly listened to.

Tommorow Will Come And Girl I Can't Wait It's Our Anniversary
[Echo:] Anniversary
The First Thing I'll Do Is Run Straight To You It Our Anniversary [Echo]
Anniversary

[Chorus]
It's Our Anniversary [Echo:] It's Our Anniversary, Anniversary
It's Our Anniversary [Echo:] It's Our Anniversary, Made For You And Me

And I'Ve Only Made Plans To Hold Your Little Hand It's Our
Anniversary [Echo:] Anniversary

The Pleasure's All Mine Cause We Have Seen Good Times It's Our
Anniversary Victoria Won't Be No Secret At The End Of The Day
It's Our Anniversary
[Echo:] Anniversary
A Small Cup Of Tea To You And Me It's Our Anniversary

[Bridge:]
All I Really Want To Say My Darling Today Is A Special Day We Call Our
Own So Take Me In Your Arms And Hold Me And Tell Me You Love Me
And I'll Be There For You

Do You Know What Today Is
Do You Know What Today Is
It's Our Anniversary (It's Our, It's Our Special Day)
Anniversary
Do You Know What Today Is
It's Our Anniversary Made For You And Me

Today Is A Special Day Not Just Any Day Cause You Can Have Everything
You Want Your Way Tell Your Supervisor Your Leaving Early Today And
I'm Going To Pay For The Rest Of Your Day

Do You Know What Today Is It's Our Anniversary, Anniversary [x2]

Today I Have Lots Of Fun Stuff For You Girl

Do You Know What Today Is It's Our Anniversary
Do You Know What Today Is It's Our Anniversary, Made For You And Me

I Know Girl

It's Our Anniversary.

And I Love You In A Special Way

I Remember The First Day

Do You Know What Today Is It's Our Anniversary [Till Fade]

Hello by Adele

I mainly know this song from this album because originally she only released it to Spotify and not the whole album. She eventually released the rest of it and I have added a couple of others but I haven't sat down and listened to the whole album.

Hello, it's me
I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet
To go over everything
They say that time's supposed to heal ya
But I ain't done much healing

Hello, can you hear me?
I'm in California dreaming about who we used to be
When we were younger and free
I've forgotten how it felt before the world fell at our feet

There's such a difference between us
And a million miles

Hello from the other side
I must've called a thousand times
To tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done
But when I call, you never seem to be home

Hello from the outside
At least I can say that I've tried
To tell you I'm sorry for breaking your heart
But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore

Hello, how are you?
It's so typical of me to talk about myself, I'm sorry
I hope that you're well
Did you ever make it out of that town where nothing ever happened?

It's no secret that the both of us are running out of time

So hello from the other side
I must've called a thousand times
To tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done
But when I call, you never seem to be home

Hello from the outside
At least I can say that I've tried
To tell you I'm sorry for breaking your heart
But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore

Oooooh, anymore
Oooooh, anymore
Oooooh, anymore
Anymore

Hello from the other side
I must've called a thousand times
To tell you I'm sorry for everything that I've done
But when I call, you never seem to be home

Hello from the outside
At least I can say that I've tried
To tell you I'm sorry for breaking your heart
But it don't matter, it clearly doesn't tear you apart anymore

It Is Finished by Petra

Great song about the day Jesus was crucified. One of my favorites of Petra and of that subject.

This album is listed on the Albums Owned page.

This artist is listed on my Seen in Concert page.

This artist and song is listed on the 20+ page.

In the heat of the early morning
On a hill they call the Skull
The roaring of the angry mob had settled to a lull
All eyes were cast upon the man whose hands and feet were bound
They saw him cry in anguish when they heard the hammer pound

They saw the bloody woven thorns with which His head was crowned
They watched the bloody cross of wood be dropped into the ground
The soldiers gambled for His clothes, they watched them win and lose
They saw the sign above His head that said "King of the Jews"

(It is finished) And the sky grew black as the night
(It is finished) And the people scattered in fright
The work had been done, redemption had been won
The war was over without a fight
It is finished

They searched His face for anger, for vengeance in His stare
Instead of eyes that burned with hate a look of love was there
He prayed for their forgiveness and bowed His battered head
And no one knew the meaning of the final words He said

The provision has been made
The foundation has been laid
He paid the ransom due and tore the temple veil in two
And opened up the way for me and you
It is finished

Wannabe by Spice Girls

I know, I know, but whether you want to admit it or not, it's still catchy. It gets stuck in your head and you'll be singing it all day. Go ahead, click play on the video and tell me you're not still singing it in another hour.

Yo, I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want,
So tell me what you want, what you really really want,
I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want,
So tell me what you want, what you really really want,
I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna really really really wanna zigazig ha.

If you want my future forget my past,
If you wanna get with me better make it fast,
Now don't go wasting my precious time,
Get your act together we could be just fine

I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want,
So tell me what you want, what you really really want,
I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna really really really wanna zigazig ha.

If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends (gotta get with my friends)
Make it last forever friendship never ends,
If you wanna be my lover, you have got to give,
Taking is too easy, but that's the way it is.

What do you think about that now you know how I feel,
Say you can handle my love are you for real,
I won't be hasty, I'll give you a try
If you really bug me then I'll say goodbye.

Yo I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want,
So tell me what you want, what you really really want,
I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna, I wanna really
really really wanna zigazig ha.

If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends (gotta get with my friends)
Make it last forever friendship never ends,
If you wanna be my lover, you have got to give,
Taking is too easy, but that's the way it is.

So here's a story from A to Z, you wanna get with me you gotta listen carefully,
We got Em in the place who likes it in your face,
we got G like MC who likes it on an
Easy V doesn't come for free, she's a real lady,
and as for me you'll see,
Slam your body down and wind it all around
Slam your body down and wind it all around.

If you wanna be my lover, you gotta get with my friends (gotta get with my friends),
Make it last forever friendship never ends,
If you wanna be my lover, you have got to give,
Taking is too easy, but that's the way it is.
If you wanna be my lover, you gotta, you gotta, you gotta,
you gotta, you gotta, slam, slam, slam, slam

Slam your body down and wind it all around.
Slam your body down and wind it all around (uh uh).
Slam your body down and wind it all around.
Slam your body down zigazig ah

If you wanna be my lover.

Thank You by Ray Boltz

Great, great song. One of my favorite Christian songs of all time. If you've never heard it, listen to it. I loved his music and went to a few concerts. If you won't want to listen to it, at least read the lyrics.

This album is listed on my Albums Owned page.

This artist is listed on my Concerts Seen page.

I dreamed I went to heaven
And you were there with me;
We walked upon the streets of gold
Beside the crystal sea.
We heard the angels singing
Then someone called your name.
We turned and saw a young man running
And he was smiling as he came.

And he said, "Friend you may not know me now."
And then he said, "But wait,
You used to teach my Sunday School
When I was only eight.
And every week you would say a prayer
Before the class would start.
And one day when you said that prayer,
I asked Jesus in my heart."

Thank you for giving to the Lord.
I am a life that was changed.
Thank you for giving to the Lord.
I am so glad you gave.

Then another man stood before you
And said, "Remember the time
A missionary came to your church
And his pictures made you cry.
You didn't have much money,
But you gave it anyway.
Jesus took the gift you gave
And that's why I'm here today."

Thank you for giving to the Lord.
I am a life that was changed.
Thank you for giving to the Lord.
I am so glad you gave.

One by one they came
Far as the eye could see.
Each life somehow touched
By your generosity.
Little things that you had done,
Sacrifices made,
Unnoticed on the earth
In heaven, now proclaimed.

And I know up in heaven
You're not supposed to cry
But I am almost sure
There were tears in your eyes.
As Jesus took your hand
And you stood before the Lord.
He said, "My child, look around you.
Great is your reward."

Thank you for giving to the Lord.
I am a life that was changed.
Thank you for giving to the Lord.
I am so glad you gave.

Thank you for giving to the Lord.
I am a life that was changed.
Thank you for giving to the Lord.
I am so glad you gave.

We Were Us by Keith Urban & Miranda Lambert

This is the 2nd song off of this album to be placed on this blog and it's the 3rd song from Keith Urban. It's also the 2nd song from Miranda Lambert. You know with those 2 great artists that your going to get a great song.

Rearview crosses
Railroad ties
Oh, Hail Marys
Friday nights
Heartbeat baby
Low-beam lights
God, I miss when you were mine

[Chorus:]
Back when that song was a song
I could sing along without thinkin bout you every time it came on
Every beat, every line, every word, every time
When a road was a road
I could roll on through without wishin that empty seat was you
Money was gas, dreams were dust
Love was fast and we were us

Shotgun sunset
A cool mint kiss
Backseat promise
Breaking it
Floorboard feeling
County lines
God, I miss when you were mine

[Repeat Chorus]

In a sleepy town, just jumping in
Far too young to know that summers end
We were us, we can't go back
It's what it is, but God I miss

[Repeat Chorus]

Every beat, every line, every word, every single time
I just close my eyes and you're ridin shotgun
You and me, baby, on the run
I can feel your heartbeat, baby

Breakaway by Idle Cure

I believe this is the only song I have by Idle Cure on here but it is a great song to jam to in the car. I had this album but it was about the time I stopped listening to Christian music so I'm not sure how much I listened to it, which would be why I didn't really recognize the other songs as much as I did this one.

This album is listed on the Album's Owned page.

Break away,
Ow.

I’m a fool, half insane,
Heard ‘em all, it’s just another name,
I feel good, nothing to hide,
You cast your stone and I step aside,
I used to fight, huh, that’s how I’d play,
Now it’s changed: I just walk away,
Ooh, look in my eyes,
It’s got me hooked, there’s no compromise.

You seem lost, you seem lonely…but don’t be afraid.

Break away – leave behind the old life, whoa,
Break away – a touch of love,
Look around, ch-check it out.

Out on the street to stay alive,
You pack a blade and a .45,
You’re touch enough, so I’ve heard,
Love, to you, is just another word,
Walking the line, playing the odds,
Don’t be fooled, you got to count the cost,
It’s your life; what will you choose?
You’ve won before, but what if you lose?

You seem lost, you seem lonely…but don’t be afraid.

Break away – leave behind the old life, whoa,
Break away – ooh, look around, just check it out.

The prize is just ahead, it’s waiting,
Fight the fire, don’t feed the flame,
Take a chance and break away.

I’m a fool, half insane,
Heard ‘em all, it’s just another name,
I feel good, nothing to hide,
You cast your stone and I step aside.

You seem lost, you seem lonely…but don’t be afraid.

Break away – leave behind the old life, whoa,
Break away – leave behind, ooh, leave it behind,
Ooh, yeah – break away.

Fat Bottomed Girls by Queen

They make the rocking world go round. I always liked this song, not just because it was a little risque back when it came out. I mentioned before that I had the Queen greatest hits growing up and obviously, this song was on it.

Oh you gonna take me home tonight
Oh down beside that red fire light
Oh you gonna let it all hang out
Fat bottomed girls you make the rocking world go round

Hey I was just a skinny lad
Never knew no good from bad
But I knew love before I left my nursery
Left alone with big fat Fanny
She was such a naughty nanny
Heap big woman, you made a bad boy out of me

Hey hey!

I've been singing with my band
Across the water, across the land
I've seen every blue eyed floozy on the way (hey)
But their beauty and their style
Went kind of smooth after a while
Take me to them naughty ladies every time

C'mon!

Oh, won't you take me home tonight?
Oh, down beside your red fire light
Oh, and you give it all you got
Fat bottomed girls you make the rocking world go round
Fat bottomed girls you make the rocking world go round

Hey, listen here
Now I got mortgages and homes
And I got stiffness in the bones
Ain't no beauty queens in this locality (I tell you)
Oh, but I still get my pleasure
Still get my greatest treasure
Heap big woman you done made a big man of me (now get this)

Oh (I know), you gonna take me home tonight (please)
Oh, down beside that red fire light
Oh, you gonna let it all hang out
Fat bottomed girls you make the rocking world go round
Fat bottomed girls you make the rocking world go round

Get on your bikes and ride

Ooh, yeah, oh, yeah, them fat bottomed girls
Fat bottomed girls, yeah, yeah, yeah,
All right
Ride 'em cowboy
Fat bottomed girls
Yes, yes, right.

Get the Party Started by Pink

This is the 3rd song by Pink here and it won't be the last. My wife introduced me to her music and I have added quite a few of her songs here.

I'm comin' up so you better get this party started
I'm comin' up so you better get this party started

Get this party started on a Saturday night
Everybody's waiting for me to arrive
Sendin' out the message to all of my friends
We'll be looking flashy in my Mercedes Benz
I got lot of style, check my gold diamond rings
I can go for miles if you know what I mean
I'm comin' up so you better get this party started
I'm comin' up so you better get this party started

Pumping up the volume, breaking down to the beat
Cruisin' through the west side
We'll be checkin' the scene
Boulevard is freakin' as I'm comin' up fast
I'll be burnin' rubber, you'll be kissin' my ass
Pull up to the bumper, get out of the car
License plate says Stunner #1 Superstar

I'm comin' up so you better get this party started
I'm comin' up so you better get this party started
Get this party started

Making my connection as I enter the room
Everybody's chilling as I set up the groove
Pumpin' up the volume with this brand new beat
Everybody's dancing and they're dancing for me
I'm your operator, you can call anytime
I'll be your connection to the party line

I'm comin' up so you better get this party started
I'm comin' up so you better get this party started
I'm comin' up so you better get this party started
I'm comin' up so you better get this party started
Get this party started
Get this party started right now
Get this party started
Get this party started
Get this party started right now

Final Days by DC Talk

This is the 2nd song off of this album on this blog. I can't say for sure but I probably put all the songs on this album on here because it was all I listened to at one point.

This album is listed on the Albums Owned page.

This artist is listed on the Concerts Seen page.

This artist is listed on the 20+ club page.

Well I walk through this world livin' day to day
I see the people, hear what they have to say
Take a look at the ethics, morals, and goals
Makin' gods outta men that rock 'n roll
Like Sodom and Gomorrah, this world will fall
A total destruction, destiny of all
Who have mocked the name of Jesus, the Savior and Lord
In the battle of Armageddon and a two-edged sword
Satan in a day he will never forget
When the King hurls him into a bottomless pit
So keep your eyes on the Lord, don't follow human ways
Cause it's written in the Word, these are the final days

Final days
Change your ways
Final days

The final days is what my song's about
Words so intense I might have to shout
Some might play hard and say I'm wack
But I'm talkin' about truth not egomaniac
And as long as they listen, they won't be dissin'
Cause rappin' final days is a serious mission
Just so they learn, I will stand stern
I hope my words make ya start to churn
I'm concerned with the life that you're livin' now
Your's ego's so bad that ya can't even bow
To the Master of all, Creator of creation
I'm talkin' bout God no misinterpretation
Rappin' hard for the One who deserves the best
Speakin' rhymes that will try and put your heart to test
Don't stop and stare me down with that b-boy haze
Get busy, cause these are the final days

Final days
Change your ways
Final days

The words of my rap are not what you think
But so secure I suggest you take 'em to the bank
Or better yet take these words to heart
Don't wait until tomorrow, now's the time to start
I'm not askin' for your money or rappin' for a fee
Think upon the words is my only plea
Cause this song's about to end, your time is runnin' thin
And now that my time is up, it's time for you to begin
To do this job is my only request
A basic rap exam puts MC's to test
Spread these words like a fire ablaze
Cause I'm tellin' ya we're livin' in the final days

Final days
Change your ways
Final days

It Goes Like This by Thomas Rhett

I don't know much about Thomas Rhett or his music, but obviously, I know this song. I'm sure I was introduced to it by my wife as she listens to all kinds of country.

Hey girl, you make me wanna write a song,
Sit you down, I'll sing it to you all night long,
I've had a melody in my head
Since she walked in here and knocked me dead.
Yeah girl, you make me wanna write a song

And it goes like ooh,
What I wouldn't do
To write my name on your heart,
Get you wrapped in my arms
Baby all around you.
And it goes like hey,
Girl I'm blown away,
Yeah it starts with a smile and it ends with an all night long slow kiss,
Yeah it goes like this.

Hey girl, you make me wanna drive you home,
Get you outta here and get you all alone.
I don't know what it is about you, baby,
But I'm all messed up and it might sound crazy,
But you make me wanna write a song.

And it goes like ooh,
What I wouldn't do,
To write my name on your heart,
Get you wrapped in my arms
Baby all around you.
And it goes like hey,
Girl I'm blown away,
Yeah it starts with a smile and it ends with an all night long slow kiss,
Yeah it goes like this.

Lookin' at you, lookin' at me that way,
Makes me wanna grab my old guitar and play

Something like ooh,
What I wouldn't do,
To write my name on your heart,
Get you wrapped in my arms
Baby all around you.
And it goes like hey,
Girl I'm blown away,
Yeah it starts with a smile and it ends with an all night long slow kiss,
Yeah it goes like this

And it goes like ooh,
And it goes like hey,
And it ends with a kiss,
Yeah it goes like this.

Gettin' Jiggy Wit It by Will Smith

The 2nd song off the 2nd album by Will Smith here. This one is pretty well known, or at least back then it was. I always respected Will for rapping clean. We all know that I don't mind cussing in songs, look at some of them on here, but that doesn't mean I can't respect the man for doing it that way.

On your mark ready set let's go
Dance floor pro I know you know
I go psycho when my new joint hit
Just can't sit
Got to get jiggy wit it, thats it
Now honey honey come ride
DKNY all up in my eye
You gotta Prada bag with a lot a stuff in it
Give it to your friend let's spin
Everybody lookin' at me
Glancin' the kid
Wish you nig was dancin' the jig
Here with this handsome kid
Ciga-cigar right from Cuba-Cuba
I just bite it
It's for the look I don't light it
Illway the amay on the anceday orflay
Give it up jiggy make it feel like foreplay
Yo my cardio is infinite
Ha ha
Big willie style's all in it

Gettin jiggy wit it
Na na na na na na na nana
Na na na na nana
Gettin jiggy wit it
Na na na na na na na nana
Na na na na nana
Gettin jiggy wit it
Na na na na na na na nana
Na na na na nana
Gettin jiggy wit it
Na na na na na na na nana
Na na na na nana

What you want to ball with the kid
Watch your step you might fall
Trying to do what I did
Mama-unh mama-unh mama come closa'
In the middle of the club with the rub-a-dub
No love for the haters
Mad cause I got floor seats at the Lakers
See me on the fifty yard line with the Raiders
Met Ali he told me I'm the greatest
I got the fever for the flavor of a crowd pleaser
DJ play another
From the prince of this
Your highness
Only bad chicks ride in my whips
South to the west to the east to the north
Bought my hits and watch 'em go off a go off
Ah yes yes y'all ya don't stop
In the winter or the (summertime)
I makes it hot

Gettin jiggy wit 'em
Na na na na na na na nana
Na na na na nana
Gettin jiggy wit it
Na na na na na na na nana
Na na na na nana
Gettin jiggy wit it
Na na na na na na na nana
Na na na na nana
Gettin jiggy wit it
Na na na na na na na nana
Na na na na nana

Eight-fifty I.S. if you need a lift
Who's the kid in the drop
Who else Will Smith
Livin' that life some consider a myth
Rock from south street to one two fifth
Women used to tease me
Give it to me now nice and easy
Since I moved up like George and Wheezey
Cream to the maximum I be askin' 'em
Would you like to bounce with the brother that's platinum
Never see Will attackin' 'em
I rather play ball with Shaq and 'em
Flatten 'em
Psyche
Hittin' you thought I took a spill
But I didn't
Trust the lady of my life she hittin'
Hit her with a drop top with the ribbon
Crib for my mom on the outskirts of Philly
You trying to flex on me
Don't be silly

Gettin jiggy wit it
Na na na na na na na nana
Na na na na nana
Gettin jiggy wit it
Na na na na na na na nana
Na na na na nana
Gettin jiggy wit it
Na na na na na na na nana
Na na na na nana
Gettin jiggy wit it
Na na na na na na na nana
Na na na na nana

Destined To Win by E.T.W.

While I did have this album and possible another of theirs, I mainly like this song because it uses the DeGarmo & Key lyrics to their song which I listened to for awhile before they released this. They even use a little clip of what I assume is actually D&K at the very end of the song. I don't know much about the group but I do know that it stands for End Time Warriors.

This album is listed on my Albums Owned page.

I can't find the lyrics anywhere on the internet, Sorry!

Colors by Ice T

Gangsta rap at it's finest. You can always recognize Ice T's voice, the song came on and I asked my wife if she recognized him and she did. She doesn't listen to rap, at all, and still recognized him. Not that it's a surprise, unless you don't know who it is. IT'S LEMONADE! (love that commercial). Of course, I know the song from the movie, Colors.

Yo Ease let's do this...

I am a nightmare walkin', psychopath talkin'
King of my jungle, just a gangster stalkin'
Livin' life like a firecracker, quick is my fuse
Then dead as a death pack; the colors I choose
Red or Blue, Cuz or Blood, it just don't matter
Sucka die for your life when my shotgun scatters
The gangs of L.A. will never die - just multiply

You see they hit us then we hit them
Then we hit them and they hit us, man
It's like a war, ya know what I'm sayin'
People don't even understand
They don't even know what they dealing with
You wanna get rid of the gangs it's gonna take a lotta work
But people don't understand the size of this
This is no joke man, this is real

You don't know me, fool
You disown me, cool
I don't need your assistance, social persistence
Any problem I got I just put my fist in
My life is violent but violent is life
Peace is a dream, reality is a knife
My colors, my honor, my colors, my all
With my colors upon me one soldier stands tall
Tell me what have you left me, what have I got?
Last night in cold blood my young brother got shot
My homeboy got jacked
My mother's on crack
My sister can't work cause her arms show tracks
Madness insanity, live in profanity
Then some punk claimin' they're understandin' me
Give me a break, what world do you live in
Death is my set, guess my religion

Yo my brother was a gang banger
And all my homeboys bang
I don't know why I do it man, I just do it
I never had much of nothing man
Look at you man, you've got everything going for yourself
And I ain't got nothing man, I've got nothing
I'm living in the ghetto man
Just look at me man, look at me

My pants are saggin', braided hair
Suckas stare but I don't care
My game ain't knowledge, my game's fear
I've no remorse so squares beware
But my true mission is just revenge
You ain't in my set, you ain't my friend
Wear the wrong color your life could end
Homicide's my favorite binge

Listen to me man
No matter whatcha do don't ever join a gang
You don't wanna be in it man
You're just gonna end up in a mix of dead friends and time in jail I
Know, if
I had a chance like you
I would never be in a gang man
But I didn't have a chance
You know I wish I did

I'll just walk like a giant, police defiant
You'll say to stop but I'll say that I can't
My gang's my family, it's all that I have
I'm a star, on the walls is my autograph
You don't like it, so you know where you can go
Cause the streets are my stage and terror's my show
Psycho-analyze tried diagnosin' me, why?
It wasn't your brother that brutally died
But it was mine, so let me define
My territory; don't cross the line
Don't try to act crazy cause that shit don't faze me
If you ran like a punk, it wouldn't amaze me
Cause my colors death
Though we all want peace
But our war won't end
'Till all wars cease

See the wars of the street gangs will always get to me, man
But I don't wanna be down with this situationm man
But I'm in here, if I had something better to do I think I'd do it But right now, I'm just down here boy
I'm trying to get money cause I'm smart
I'm gonna get paid while I'm out here
I'm gonna get that paper, ya know what I'm saying
If I had a chance like you
Maybe I would be in school
But I'm not, I'm out here living day to day surviving
And I'm willing to die for my colors

Yo, please stop cause I want y'all to live
This is Ice-T, peace
