Like A Prayer by Madonna

Obviously I'm going to have some Madonna on here, she was a staple of the 80's genre. I don't really have much past that genre but I did have another album that was post 80's.

Life is a mystery,
Everyone must stand alone
I hear you call my name
And it feels like home

[Chorus:]
When you call my name it's like a little prayer
I'm down on my knees, I wanna take you there
In the midnight hour I can feel your power
Just like a prayer you know I'll take you there

I hear your voice, it's like an angel sighing
I have no choice, I hear your voice
Feels like flying
I close my eyes, Oh God I think I'm falling
Out of the sky, I close my eyes
Heaven help me

[Chorus x2]

Life is a mystery, everyone must stand alone
I hear you call my name
And it feels like...

[Chorus x2 (with Choir)]
(Just like a prayer, I'll take you there
It's like a dream to me)

  • This is the 154th song on this blog.
  • This is the 1st song by Madonna and she is the 130th artist to appear on this blog.
  • This is the 6th song released in 1989 on this blog.
  • This is the 25th song listed in the 80's genre on this blog.
I didn't have this album but I had the Immaculate Collection so I'm going to post it on my albums owned page.

Top 5 (30 days) - No change.

Top 10 (all-time)
  1. Mama, I'm Coming Home by Ozzy Osbourne hopped up one more spot to break into the top 5.
  2. Surprisingly, out of nowhere, Hip Hop Hooray by Naughty by Nature jumped all the way up to the 7 spot. It was surprising because most page views come within a week of it being posted. That song was posted on November 7th. It bumped Do You Really Want To Hurt Me by the Culture Club off the list, that had been on there since early July.
