Outside by Aaron Lewis and Fred Durst

Once again, I was supposed to post this last night. I've been good at forgetting to post. I want to wait until the evening in case I listen to any more music, but then I forget.

This was a great album from the Family Values Tour, it had some great music by some great artists at the time. A pretty good compilation of some good rock music. I used to jam to this CD all the time. It had one slow song on it, which was this one and even it was a great song. I'm listing this song by Staind and Limp Bizkit even though technically it is listed as Aaron Lewis and Fred Durst who are the lead singers of those two bands. I don't have anything else listed under them individually anyways so I might as well stick them with the bands.

This album is listed on my Albums I've Owned page.

And you
Can bring me to my knees
Again

All the times
That I could beg you please
In vain

All the times
That I felt insecure
For you

And I leave
My burdens at the door

But I'm on the outside
I'm looking in
I can see through you
See your true colors
'Cause inside you're ugly
You're ugly like me
I can see through you
See to the real you

All the times
That I felt like this won't end
Was for you

And I taste
What I could never have
It's from you

All those times
That I tried
My intentions
Full of pride
And I waste
More time than anyone

But I'm on the outside
I'm looking in
I can see through you
See your true colors
'Cause inside you're ugly
You're ugly like me
I can see through you
See to the real you

All the times
That I've cried
All that's wasted
It's all inside

But I feel
All this pain
Stuffed it down
It's back again

And I lie
Here in bed
All alone
I can't mend

And I feel
Tomorrow will be okay

But I'm on the outside
I'm looking in
I can see through you
See your true colors
'Cause inside you're ugly
You're ugly like me
I can see through you
See to the real you

  • This is the 138th song on this blog.
  • This is the first song by Limp Bizkit and Staind and they are the 118th and 119th artists to appear on this blog.
  • This is the 4th song released in 2000 on this song.
  • This is the 42nd song listed in the Rock genre on this blog.
We had a little movement on the Top 5 (30 days), You Wouldn't Know by Hell Yeah! reached it's 30 day mark so it dropped off the list and was replaced with Money For Nothing by Dire Straits which was only posted a few days ago. It jumped up to the 4 spot when it appeared.
